Journalist Cătălina Mioara Georgescu: The General Assembly of Women presents: „Without equality, there is no work”

Not just a conference, but a true „WORKSHOP FOR THE FUTURE” was promoted by the GENERAL STATES OF WOMEN, President and National Coordinator Dr. ISA MAGGI, on April 30, 2026, with the webinar entitled „WITHOUT EQUALITY THERE IS NO WORK”. This essential discussion focused on the theme of „gender equality”, eliminating clichés and placing it directly in the harsh reality of figures and denied rights. It represents a crucial moment of reflection on the eve of Labor Day, placing at the center of the debate the essential need to integrate gender equity into the national productive structure.

As moderator of the meeting, Dr. ISA MAGGI introduced the session by highlighting a regulatory and social framework in which equality should no longer be understood as a formal concession, but rather as a structural pillar of modern work, explicitly citing UNI/PdR 125 and 192 as technical and cultural tools to certify and promote this change.

The debate followed a dynamic and interdisciplinary structure, designed to bring together the diverse expertise of the speakers in a single and comprehensive vision. The opening speech was entrusted to ELISABETTA PIERAGOSTINI, President of the INHUBB Association, who brought her experience as President in analyzing the impact of inclusion on organizational well-being. This was followed by technical presentations by GIACOMO RICCIO, Standardization Expert and CSR Technical Project Manager at UNI, and PAOLO GROPPO, FAO Expert and Coordinator of the EquiDom Group, who illustrated the implementation and coordination methodologies for the Equitable Working Groups.

The discussion then moved to the territorial and corporate dimension with the contribution of Dr. Maria Lippiello, Coordinator of the General Status of Women for Campania and expert in gender policies, providing a perspective focused on local realities in Campania.

The presentations continued with a presentation by Dr. ALESSIA RUZZEDDU, Head of the Department of Wellbeing, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Cultural Management – DEI Autostrade per l’Italia, who highlighted the best practices in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion adopted in major national infrastructure projects.

The entrepreneurial contribution of CAROLINA CENERINI, founder of the organization “Desde el Sur con amor”, concluded this series of beautiful and important testimonies, bringing the perspective of those who live in environments far from ours.

The extraordinary moderation of Dr. ISA MAGGI ensured a coherent flow of arguments, ensuring that each voice could contribute to defining a collective strategy to reduce the gender gap. The debate ended with a synthesis of the emerging proposals, reaffirming the association’s continued commitment to protecting women’s human and professional rights at the national level.

Equality is not achieved only through law, but through a cultural revolution that recognizes the social value of care and the importance of female leadership in decision-making processes; equality is not a favor done to women, but a necessary condition for the growth of an entire country.
