On Sunday, August 9, 2026, the 11th edition of the impressive UNTOLD ONE electronic music festival, the third-largest in the world in Romania, will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from August 6-9. The festival features Sting, Martin Garrix, Kygo, Carl Cox, and Padre Guilherme. The closing performance provided a unique experience for the multitude of young people in attendance. Amidst electronic sounds and captivating rhythms, a special message from POPE LEO XIV was broadcast on the main stage.
The event occurred during the set by Padre-DJ GUILHERME (Guilherme Guimaràes Peixoto), a Portuguese priest internationally known for his consular work at the DJ booth. The priest took the stage at around 4:00 a.m., offering an intense sound session that lasted over an hour and a half. Before sparking the protests on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026, the priest presided over the liturgical rite in the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Cluj-Napoca, dedicated to the martyrs and witnesses to the faith of the twentieth century.
Cluj-Napoca is a university city in Transylvania with approximately 300,000 inhabitants, a strong technological economy, and one of Romania’s most vibrant cultural scenes.
On the big screen of the Cluj Arena—a 30,000-seat UEFA-certified football stadium in the city center (Central Park)—the Supreme Pontiff’s reflections, focused on fraternity, closeness, and hope, resounded:
„Jesus calls you to be witnesses of communion, builders of bridges, and sowers of trust in a world often marked by divisions and suspicions. Do not be afraid, therefore, to show that you are Christians, to live the Gospel with enthusiasm, and to share the joy that comes from encountering the Lord. Always remember these words and have the courage to pass them on. In every situation of our lives, we will discover that we are never alone. As children of God, we are always loved, forgiven, and encouraged by Him.”
The message arrived in a completely different context from the usual atmosphere of a music festival and transformed the end of the evening into one of the special moments of this year’s summer.
The event transformed the urban heart into a hub of positive energy, intertwining spirituality and youth entertainment in a unique setting.
